Seven Prestige Care Centers Earn U.S. News "Best Nursing Home" Distinction

Posted by Prestige Care

Vancouver, Wash.— U.S. News & World Report recently announced that seven Prestige Care centers in Washington and Oregon have earned the designation of “Best Nursing Home” in its annual Best Nursing Homes for 2019-20 report.

U.S. News & World Report has published annual ratings of nursing homes since 2009. In order to be eligible for the “Best Nursing Home” distinction, centers must earn a High-Performance rating in short-term rehabilitation, long-term care or both, and demonstrate a continued commitment to quality of care, safety of residents, health inspection grades, staffing and more.

The following Prestige centers earned high ratings in short-term rehabilitation and were awarded the “Best Nursing Home” distinction:

A new rating specific to long-term care was introduced in the 2019-20 evaluation, gauging centers on their ability to care for residents who need ongoing, daily assistance with both health-related care and non-skilled personal care. The following Prestige community earned a High-Performance rating within this category:

“As a leading provider of senior living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care services, we are proud to share news of our centers’ ‘Best Nursing Home’ distinctions,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “Choosing the best post-acute or skilled nursing option for yourself or your loved one is a significant decision, and we continually strive to exceed the expectations of those we serve. These ratings showcase the high levels of care our team members deliver every day, and recognize our core values of respect, integrity, commitment and trust that guide us forward.”

This was the first year U.S. News calculated centers’ overall ratings, incorporating new requirements for short-term and long-term rehabilitation and care evaluations to improve its ability to provide customer decision support, rather than relying on data from Nursing Home Compare, a program run by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The organization evaluated more than 15,000 centers and recognized only 2,969 senior living locations that matched its exacting standards – meaning fewer than one in eight communities nationwide made the mark.

U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Nursing Homes for 2019-20” report, as well as the publication’s evaluations of skilled nursing centers, is available online at health.usnews.com/best-nursing-homes.
