Vancouver, Wash. – Prestige Care, an industry leader in senior living, skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, and Daiya Healthcare, a physician-owned multi-specialty provider group, recently announced that they are joining forces to provide virtual urgent care services to residents at five Prestige Senior Living communities in Washington and Oregon.
Daiya Healthcare On-Demand will offer Prestige’s senior living residents access to immediate virtual urgent care from skilled medical providers to address healthcare needs as they arise.
The on-demand service will provide participating residents with immediate connection to medical providers for assessment and treatment of acute and chronic conditions on weekdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, psychiatry and pain management services will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
By increasing access to personalized and immediate telehealth services for seniors, the two organizations will work continuously to improve quality of care and the overall resident experience. The partnership aims to reduce seniors’ unnecessary hospital visits and lessen the chance of illness by leveraging virtual preventive care from the security of their communities.
“At Prestige, our goal is, and will always be, to help our patients and residents achieve the highest possible level of independence and quality of life. We’ve found a great partner in Daiya Healthcare as we continue to strive to exceed our residents’ expectations in serving as a holistic health and wellness partner,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care.
To support the individualized needs of all senior residents, the program offers a convenient and affordable option for scheduling an appointment with virtual urgent care providers – often with same-day appointments with the ability to be seen within 20 minutes – who can diagnose, recommend treatment, and prescribe medication when appropriate.
The service doesn’t replace a primary care provider but offers care coordination with residents’ care teams, following urgent care visits.
