Prestige Care and Waltham Clinic Announce Partnership For California Communities

As so much of modern life moved online during COVID-19, at Prestige Senior Living, we knew we needed to adapt as well to best serve our residents and their families.

One of those adjustments has been medical appointments.

Even before the pandemic, it could be a challenge for the families of our residents to help their loved ones attend medical appointments. From moving work schedules around to making sure kids were taken care of, the logistics could sometimes leave families in a bind.

Then the pandemic hit, and it added another layer of complexity at a time when seeing a doctor was never more vital. COVID-19 reinforced to us that it was never more important to have timely and convenient access to health care professionals for medical care and treatment.

To that end, our assisted living and memory care communities in California have entered into a partnership with Waltham Clinic, a world-class, multi-specialty concierge health care practice, that provides care directly to the bedside – either in-person or via telemedicine.

This partnership aims to provide timely individualized care to all Prestige residents within our California communities. Waltham Clinic’s team of specialists work collaboratively with residents, families, caregivers and primary care doctors to deliver an exceptional level of coordinated care that addresses the specific needs of each resident. Waltham Clinic also works with a wide variety of insurance carriers, including Medicare, to ensure patients are able to access affordable, timely, comprehensive care.

Now, our residents don’t have to worry about leaving the community, or their loved ones don’t have to re-arrange their day, for many appointments that can be done virtually. The convenience and safety will give our residents peace of mind as they tend to their medical needs.

Through this partnership, Prestige Care residents across California will now have timely access to medical attention at the following Prestige Care communities:

With specialists in geriatric psychiatry, behavioral health and wellness, musculoskeletal medicine, and pain management, Waltham Clinic assesses and treats common conditions —  such as mobility impairments, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, incontinence and skin integrity — that dramatically impact the wellbeing, and quality of life, of the residents in our communities.

“One of our greatest goals at Prestige has always been to support our residents in living a comfortable, healthy lifestyle, which includes the convenience of high-quality, integrated health care services,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “Our partnership with Waltham Clinic offers our residents another route to timely, expert medical services within the comfort of their senior living communities.”

“At Waltham Clinic, we use a preventative approach to support residents in real-time to not only prevent medical events but also to delay or reverse cognitive and functional decline associated with aging,” said Nicole Kelleher, Chief Medical Officer at Waltham Clinic. “We add a high-touch layer of specialized care between the primary care physician, the facility care team and the hospital to treat common medical issues before they escalate, dramatically improving the quality of life for residents. We are thrilled to partner with Prestige and support their community goals for happy, healthier residents!”

At Prestige, we’re excited to bring this partnership with Waltham Clinic to the residents at our California communities, as we strive to provide the best care possible for our residents.
