Washington – Prestige Care, Inc., an award-winning provider of senior living care, has launched a new partnership with Ageless Grace®, a fitness and wellness program dedicated to the healthy longevity of the body and mind. The program’s components are designed for all ages and abilities and seek to activate all five areas of the brain and address 21 factors that cause aging in the body.
The program’s simple exercises, which are based on everyday movements, are a complement to Prestige’s current wellness-focused programs and combine research from the fields of physical therapy, martial arts, neural science and more, and cultivates and supports mind-body connections while improving agility and responsiveness.
“We are delighted to join forces with Ageless Grace to continue to enrich the well-being of our residents, and enhance the overall senior-living experience,” said Hollie Fowler, senior director of product development at Prestige Care. “The innovative curriculum and tools offered by Ageless Grace help us in our goal to empower residents to live to the fullest and embrace the active, healthy lifestyle they desire.”
Ageless Grace is broken down into 21 exercises, called tools, that address bodily aging factors and improve cognitive function, all while supporting ease of movement. The curriculum will be offered at select Prestige communities through instructor-led sessions that enable residents and guests to achieve the program’s cumulative benefits.
Each tool consists of organic, memorable movements and can be easily performed regardless of age or physical challenges. Designed to augment and mend the brain’s neural pathways, these tools function as games that challenge the brain’s plasticity and improve memory and dexterity. As one ages, neural pathways can stop developing or regress. Through Ageless Grace, Prestige will help reactivate aging sectors of the brain by introducing new physical skills and experiences, leading to improved mental retention and functionality.
“Prestige Senior Living has a firm grasp on the importance of brain health as one ages, and the organization already has a wonderful group of certified Ageless Grace educators to deliver these tools in their communities,” said Denise Medved, creator of Ageless Grace. “I am thrilled to be working with Prestige to bring this program into the lives residents in their communities and beyond, and look forward to following their journey to improved cognitive and physical health."
As a partner in active aging, Prestige is dedicated to helping residents achieve an optimal level of health and wellness. Ageless Grace will complement products and services that residents currently utilize through Prestige’s Expressions and Celebrations programs, which were designed to bolster well-being and longevity through innovative care techniques and experiences.
Through this partnership, Prestige will continue to customize its service offerings to independent living, assisted living and memory care residents. Active, well-rounded lifestyles are key to healthy, successful aging and Prestige’s programs tailor to the choices, conveniences and independent needs of each individual.
