As we age, it becomes more important than ever to properly take care of ourselves. Eating healthy, getting enough sleep, staying in shape – all of those lifestyle habits are vital in how they contribute to our overall wellness.

That word – wellness - can mean a lot of things. For most people, the word wellness conjures up thoughts of their physical health. However, the benefits of an active lifestyle aren’t limited to our physical sides; there are tangible gains in our cognitive health that come from physical activity as well. Studies have shown that cognitive decline can be slowed by regular fitness. There is a brain-body connection whereby fitness positively stimulates our brains and helps keep us healthy in that realm as well.

Our commitment to the overall physical and cognitive well-being of our residents are one of the driving factors behind an exciting webinar coming up that will be of particular interest to seniors who may be concerned about their cognitive health.
