Thanking Our World War II Veterans With Dream Flights
At Prestige Senior Living, our wellness programming celebrates life at every age. Our residents enjoy a wide variety of activities and events as they take on new adventures or continue with long-time favorites.
Of course, the freedom we all have to pursue the opportunities we so choose is due in large part to those who served our country in the armed forces.
Prestige Senior Living has more than 30 residents across our communities who served during World War II, and in honor of the sacrifices they made we have a unique opportunity coming up for them to offer our thanks.
Honoring WWII Veterans With Dream Flights
To help honor the Prestige residents who served in World War II, we’ve partnered with an organization called Dream Flights to give them the flight of a lifetime.
Dream Flights is a non-profit organization that takes World War II veterans for flights in an open-cockpit Boeing Stearman biplane, the same plane used to train aviators during World War II. Their fleet of original planes were all manufactured in the 1940s and later restored to be able to take veterans on these flights.
Our veterans will elevate 1,000 feet in the air and get to enjoy the plane ride of their dreams.
Best of all, the Dream Flights experience is completely free. Thanks to generous donations from sponsors and the public, no veteran is ever charged for the Dream Flights experience. It’s their way of thanking them for their service.
Move-In Special For Veterans
In the spirit of Dream Flights, and to honor those who served our country, we currently have a move-in special for all veterans. If you or a loved one served our country, contact the community nearest you for details of the special that and to schedule a tour.
