"My Name is Helen Burton and I am 90 years old. I have been at Prestige almost one year now. I came from some pretty uncomfortable circumstances. My husband had just passed away and our house was being sold and everything had to be taken away in some manner or the other, it was very stressful at my age!
I have NEVER been interested in being in a facility of any type. My children had toured Prestige knowing that I needed assistance and could no longer live alone. They convinced me to take a chance and just check it out.
The first time I came to visit I had a warm and welcoming feeling from the front door in. Dave toured us and the more I saw the more I was becoming interested. I was having health problems and our current caregiver was not much of a cook. My lab tests were showing kidney problems, etc. I moved into Prestige June 2015. As of last month my doctor says my lab tests do not look like those of a person 90 years old. My weight is stable and so is my blood pressure. I feel better than I have in about ten years! I must mention the staff above all! From Matt, Dave and Barbara to the newest employee, I am treated with the most respect, kindness, concern, love and attention to details that one could ever want or need.
I am getting where I don’t really want to go out with my family as I have everything here I want or need. My apartment is nice and has plenty of room as I am confined to an electric chair and am able to get around well. The staff keeps it clean as well as my laundry done every week and folded neatly. My bed is stripped and re-made weekly.
We have many activities as well as bus trips; you can be as busy as you wish to be. My family is also very pleased with the respect and concern they are shown as well as all questions answered.
I Praise God that he led me to Prestige. I truly feel loved!! Maybe we should have a sign in our lobby that says "Welcome Home"."« Back to Testimonials
