Have you ever been interested in building a career in health care but didn’t know where to begin?

At Prestige Care, we provide a variety of opportunities to help jumpstart your career in the healthcare field. We proudly offer a free Nursing Assistant Training Program at our skilled nursing centers. We cover your education, books, scrubs, and testing costs so you can begin your journey towards becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a guaranteed position at our center upon completion.

What to Expect

Our Nursing Assistant Training Program is held year-round throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. Each class takes about five to six weeks to complete and is typically offered Monday through Friday. Once the course has been completed, you will register to take the state certification exam and all of the costs associated are covered by Prestige.

Students can expect a planned training program consisting of classroom and clinical instruction designed to give nursing assistant students the knowledge they need to provide safe and compassionate care for their patients.

Classroom education may include coursework on anatomy and physiology, best practices for observing patients, basic patient care, information on patient rights, safety procedures, and clinical preparation. Once the classroom learning has been completed, students will move on to hands-on clinical practice.

During clinicals, students will work under the supervision of a certified nurse and directly with residents at a Prestige skilled nursing center to practice what they learned during their classroom coursework. This may include taking vital signs, providing basic care needs, assisting with activities of daily living (ADL), and practicing efficient communication between residents and other team members.

Upon completion of both the classroom and clinical coursework, students will have the knowledge and skills they need to take the state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam. Once the exam has been passed, students become certified and are immediately eligible for job placement at a Prestige skilled nursing center as a CNA.
