Portland, Ore. – Charli Keesey, director of nursing services at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center of Reedwood, was recently honored as 2019’s Nurse Leader of the Year in Skilled Care by the Oregon Health Care Association (OHCA).
OHCA, Oregon’s largest long-term care trade association, recognized Keesey for her commitment to the long-term care profession and dedication to improving the lives of seniors and people with disabilities within her community.
“We are proud to congratulate Charli on OHCA’s recognition of her outstanding leadership skills and passion for helping our patients achieve optimal recovery and live fulfilled lives,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “This achievement is a testament to her commitment to providing compassionate care and highlights the high standards we hold ourselves to, both personally and enterprise-wide.”
As director of nursing services, Keesey is responsible for overseeing daily care services for all patients at Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center of Reedwood. In addition to her commitment to providing high-quality care, OHCA also recognized Keesey’s leadership skills and advocacy efforts.
Founded in 1950, the Oregon Health Care Association represents over 1,000 health care organizations, 90% of which are long-term care communities. Its members benefit from education and professional development, advocacy at local, state and federal levels, and receive guidance on providing care. Keesey, along with the other award recipients, was honored at the OHCA Annual Convention Awards Luncheon on November 20, 2019 in Portland.
