Five Prestige Care Communities Receive National Award for Quality Care

Prestige communities recognized as top care providers by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living

Vancouver, Wash. – Prestige Care Inc., a leading provider of senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is proud to announce that five of its communities have been recognized with Bronze – Commitment to Quality Awards by the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for providing high quality senior care.

The bronze distinction is the first of three progressive award levels through the National Quality Award Program, which recognizes long-term care communities across the country that have demonstrated a commitment to improving the quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.

“It’s always a pleasure to see our communities recognized for the high standards of care that we emphasize across our entire organization. We’re especially proud of those that are recognized through the National Quality Award Program, which represents the standard for excellence in our industry,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “We applaud each our communities for achieving this outstanding honor and for their efforts in providing compassionate, high quality care to their residents.”

The AHCA/NCAL awarded the following communities with the 2018 Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award:

The AHCA/NCAL Quality Award program offers recognition and awards at three levels – bronze, silver, and gold – each of which requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. As bronze-level winners, these communities are now eligible to apply for silver-level recognition, the next step in the AHCA/NCAL’s three-tiered program.

These Prestige Care locations join more than 60 other communities that have earned recognition through the AHCA/NCAL by demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and performance improvement.

“The Bronze award exemplifies a dedication to positively impacting quality,” said Mark Parkinson, President and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “I am proud to spotlight our members for their relentless drive to advance our nation’s skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities.”

Established by AHCA/NCAL in 1996, the National Quality Award Program is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, which is also the foundation of the metric-based AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative. The Baldrige program helps organizations in different business sectors improve and achieve performance excellence.

The 2018 AHCA/NCAL National Quality Awards will be presented during the 69th Annual Convention and Exposition from October 7-10, 2018 in San Diego, California.
