The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living recognize top care providers
Vancouver, Wash. – Prestige Care Inc., a leader in senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is pleased to announce that 12 of its communities have earned the 2014 “Bronze – Commitment to Quality” National Quality Award for demonstrating their commitment to improving care and services to meet the highest national expectations and standards.
The National Quality Awards are presented annually by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) to recognize skilled nursing and senior living care providers that demonstrate excellence in performance.
“We are honored and humbled to celebrate our compassionate staff, who dedicate their time and effort to ensure that our patients and residents are cared for and respected to the greatest degree,” said Harold Delamarter, Prestige Care CEO. “In all we do at Prestige Care, we never lose sight of our ultimate goal – to enrich the lives of those we serve and to provide the highest quality care possible in each of our communities.”
The Prestige communities recognized as this year’s AHCA/NCAL Bronze Quality Award for their commitment to developing a vision for systematic, sustainable and personalized care and services include:
- Linda Vista Nursing & Rehab, Ashland, OR
- Prestige Care & Rehab – Burlington, Burlington, WA
- Glisan Care Center, Portland, OR

The AHCA/NCAL Quality Award involves a progressive three-step program to encourage continuous learning and development of integrated, quality systems to achieve performance excellence. Organizations apply for recognition and awards at three levels, each of which requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. As bronze-level winners, these Prestige communities are eligible to apply for silver-level recognition, as a next step.
Award levels are based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program criteria, which are a set of questions about critical aspects of an organization’s quality performance and management. The 2014 AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award recipients will be recognized at the 65th Annual Convention and Exposition, Oct. 5-8, 2014, in Washington, D.C.
