The Skilled Nursing Center is One of Only Four In The State To Receive Tier IV Quality Status
ELLENSBURG, WASH. – Prestige Care Inc., a leader in senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is pleased to announce that Royal Vista Nursing & Rehab in Ellensburg, Washington, recently earned Tier IV recognition – the highest ranking – from the American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) Quality Initiative Recognition Program.
The AHCA’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program recognizes nursing centers and assisted living communities that demonstrate a commitment to reaching some or all of the AHCA’s four quality goals: safely reduce hospital readmissions by 15 percent; increase staff stability by 15 percent; increase customer satisfaction to 90 percent; and safely reduce the off-label use of antipsychotics by 15 percent.
Centers earn recognition based on the number of goals they achieve. Royal Vista was one of only four centers in Washington state to accomplish all four goals, qualifying the center for Tier IV recognition. The AHCA’s tiered approach empowers centers to increase their recognition as they accomplish multiple Quality Initiative goals.
“The AHCA’s work in driving quality initiatives to improve care is so important to our industry. With its Tier IV recognition, Royal Vista sets an inspiring example for what’s possible when attention to the highest quality and safety meets our values-driven compassionate care,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “We are so proud of Royal Vista’s achievement along with the hard work of many other Prestige communities that are recognized for their quality achievements.”
In total, 17 Prestige Care skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities received Quality Initiative recognition from the AHCA, and all will be recognized at the AHCA/NCAL’s 2015 Quality Symposium in Austin, Texas, from Feb. 23 – 25, 2015. Royal Vista and the other centers that achieved all four quality goals will receive special recognition at the conference, as well as be featured in Provider magazine and in a national release from the AHCA.
