Prestige Care Earns Seven 2017 Silver National Quality Awards
Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities honored for providing high quality care
Vancouver, Wash. – Prestige Care Inc., a leading provider of senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is proud to announce that seven of its communities – four assisted living communities and three skilled nursing centers – have earned the 2017 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) for their commitment to achieving the highest level of patient performance and health care outcomes.
The recipients are:
- Prestige Assisted Living at Claremont in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.,
- Prestige Assisted Living at Lancaster in Lancaster, Calif.,
- Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind in Caldwell, Idaho
- Coast Fork Nursing Center in Cottage Grove, Ore.,
- Creswell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Creswell, Ore.,
- Prestige Assisted Living at Hazel Dell in Vancouver, Wash.,
- Puyallup Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Puyallup, Wash.
“Achieving Silver Quality status demonstrates a long-term commitment to quality care, and the distinction is a fantastic representation of our values-driven care philosophy,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care. “These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication our caregivers exhibit across each of our communities, and we are incredibly proud of their exemplary work.”
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, as well as the metric-based AHCA/NCAL Quality Initiative, which challenges providers to achieve performance excellence through three progressive levels—Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
This award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes centers and communities across the nation that demonstrate a superior commitment to improving quality of care for residents and patients.
This year’s recipients became eligible to apply for Silver-level recognition after earning Bronze-level recognition in previous years, and demonstrating effective approaches to improve performance and health care outcomes. Recipients can now advance in developing approaches that meet the criteria required for the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.
Prestige Assisted Living at Claremont and Prestige Assisted Living at Autumn Wind represent the sole Silver Quality Award winners out of all assisted living communities in Arizona and Idaho, respectively, and the Oregon and Washington locations represent two out of three winning communities in each of their respective states.
“I am honored to recognize this year’s Silver award recipients for their dedication to delivering quality care,” said Alana Wolfe, Chair of the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers. “I applaud Prestige Care’s ability to effectively apply the Baldrige criteria to improve quality performance.”
The awards will be presented to honorees during AHCA/NCAL’s 68th Annual Convention & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 15-18, 2017. More information can be found at www.ahcancal.org.
