Nineteen Skilled Nursing Centers are Recognized for Their Level of Quality Care
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Prestige Care Inc., a leader in senior living and skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is pleased to announce that five of its Washington and Oregon care centers recently earned Tier IV recognition – the highest ranking – from the American Health Care Association’s (AHCA) Quality Initiative Recognition Program.
AHCA bestowed its highest ranking on a total of eight centers in the Northwest. Prestige centers comprised two of the four award winners in Washington and three of the four awards in Oregon. A Tier IV recognition signifies that a care center has successfully achieved all four of AHCA’s Quality Initiative goals.
“Recognitions such as these require the dedication of every single member of the teams who go beyond the benchmarks for providing quality care. They require a long-term commitment to partnering with our patients and residents and with each other to track our progress and seek to continually improve. We’re so proud to recognize the exemplary work of these five centers, and all of our care communities that set a high bar for providing the values-driven quality care that’s the hallmark of our work at Prestige,” said Harold Delamarter, founding partner and CEO of Prestige Care.
The AHCA’s Quality Initiative Recognition Program recognizes nursing centers and assisted living communities that demonstrate a commitment to reaching the AHCA’s Quality Initiative goals: safely reduce hospital readmissions by 15 percent; increase staff stability by 15 percent; increase customer satisfaction to 90 percent; and safely reduce the off-label use of antipsychotics by 15 percent.
Centers earn recognition for each goal they achieve by the stated deadlines. Centers to achieve all four goals by March 2015 qualify for Tier IV recognition. The AHCA’s tiered approach empowers centers to increase their recognition as they accomplish multiple Quality Initiative goals.
In addition to the five Prestige centers that earned Tier IV recognition, 14 centers achieved Tier III recognition, signifying that they’ve reached three out of the AHCA’s four quality goals.
