OHCA names Amanda Pearlman of Cascade Terrace Nursing Center its Skilled Care Administrator of the Year
Portland, Ore. – Prestige Care Inc., a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation care, is proud to announce that Amanda Pearlman, administrator at Cascade Terrace Nursing Center in Portland, Oregon, received the Oregon Health Care Association’s (OHCA) Administrator of the Year award for Skilled Care.
OHCA, Oregon’s largest long-term care trade association, recognized Pearlman for her dedication to the patients and staff at Cascade Terrace, and for demonstrating outstanding innovation, achievement, and a high standard of ethical behavior in providing high quality, compassionate care.
“We’re so proud of Amanda for setting such a high bar every day – she is incredibly deserving of this award from the Oregon Health Care Association,” said Harold Delamarter, founder and CEO of Prestige Care. “Her positive, compassionate approach to patient care has helped Cascade Terrace reach new levels of high-quality care and service. Amanda is an outstanding leader and a great asset to her center, and to our entire organization.”
During her tenure as the center’s administrator, Pearlman has helped Cascade Terrace accomplish numerous achievements. In 2016, the center earned the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), the second step in the National Quality Award Program, which recognizes skilled nursing centers that demonstrate a superior commitment to improving quality of care for residents.
Additionally, Cascade Terrace earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as a recent deficiency-free annual survey; the third time the center has achieved the highest standard for quality and safety since Pearlman became its administrator.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported the OHCA Awards and the award recipients,” said Melodie King, director of education and events at OHCA. “We are fortunate to work in a profession where so many go above and beyond every day to provide quality services and care to Oregonians statewide.”
Founded in 1950, the OHCA improves the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by promoting quality long term care in Oregon. A member of the AHCA, NCAL, and Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA), OHCA works with local, state, and federal policymakers, government officials, advocates, and coalitions to promote policies that ensure the independence, choice, and dignity of those living in long-term care settings.
