Here at Prestige Care, we love to promote from within! Today, is no different.
Please help us congratulate Mia Mullins on her promotion to Sr. Regional Director of Operations. Mia has been with Prestige for 12 years and has held a variety of roles during her time with us. She started out as an Executive Director for Lancaster where she transformed a struggling community at 55% occupancy to a thriving community at 92% occupancy; a level they have maintained and exceeded for the past 10+ years. With her leadership they also earned the Bronze and Silver national quality awards through the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living. She then moved in to a Sr. ED role and her success soon earned her a promotion to RDO, and now, Sr. RDO role!
In addition, we have two more promotions from the Sr. Executive Director role, now, to the RDO role!Apryl Schneider has been in the assisted living industry for over 10 years; 3 of which with Prestige Care. Her first challenge with Prestige was to help Monticello Park (Longview, WA) grow from a challenged community to one of the highest-performing buildings in our portfolio. Monticello started with an occupancy percentage of 63% and grew it to 95%; a level they have maintained ever since. Monticello has shown innovation with their Celebrations and Life Enrichment programs such as Bean Bag Baseball and the Senior Rodeo. Apryl has shown continued success in her role as Sr. ED and is looking forward to expanding her responsibility to additional communities in the RDO capacity.
Karie Whitehead, another employee of long tenure, has had an interesting path to her new role at RDO. She started in Operations Support in 2009, learning the business from a Central Support perspective. She became an ED in 2016 at Homewood Heights (Milwaukie, OR) and soon transitioned to Hazel Dell (Vancouver, WA). Hazel Dell, known primarily as a high Medicaid community, had been struggling to be a financially high-performing community. With Karie’s help, they improved their private pay mix and expense management, which enabled them to make and maintain their budgetary goals. Hazel Dell also was awarded the Silver Quality award in 2017 through the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living. She continued her success as a Sr. ED helping additional communities obtain success.
